Some facts..

- December 22(Ramanujan's birthdate) is celebrated as 'State IT Day' by the peope of Tamil Nadu(Ramanujan's native).
- A stamp picturing Ramanujan was released in 1962 on 75th anniversary of Ramanujan's birth by Govt of India.
- A prize for young mathematicians from developing countries has been created in the name of Srinivasa Ramanujan by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), in cooperation with the IMU, who nominate members of the prize committee.
- Printed form of Ramanujan's 'Lost Book' by Springer-Narosa was released by the late Prime Minister in the year 1987 and the first copy of the book was given to Raanujan's wife.
- An international feature film on Ramanujan's life will begin shooting in 2007 in Tamil Nadu state and Cambridge. It is being produced by Indo-British collaboration and is co-directed by Dev Benegal and Stephen Fry.
- A film based on the book The Man Who knew Infinity : A life of Genius Ramanujan by Robert Kanigel is being made by Edward Pressman and Mathew Brown.
