A whooping 765 crore worth expressway is now operational between Silk Board Junction and Electronic city in Bangalore. Few years back this 10km stretch took motorists an hour and even more. Simply speaking, it was a nightmare.

Dynamics of ChangeSubmitted by rajat on Tue, 2010-07-13 21:08
I met
someone today. The person is someone who is in a very competent
position. Someone who I believe has the right position, level of
influence and ability to be able to play a decisive role in several
things relating to blood donation and the problems surrounding the
same. The discussion with the person was cordial and warm. The person
is genuine and service minded. However I found some strange resistance
which led to this blog!

HAD I the heavens' embroidered cloths, Let's be empathaticSubmitted by rajat on Fri, 2010-06-04 22:14A casual dictionary look-up can sometimes lead to a blog post. Here it is sympathy vs empathy. Here is a distinct culture that we try to nurture in our organization, a place where individuals work with people suffering from pain and facing problem sin life. This has been there always, right from the beginning of the organization. Today I got two beautiful words to explicitly explain an essential part of the behavioral skill we want our volunteers to be synonymous with.
Challenge Your Own OpinionSubmitted by rajat on Fri, 2010-05-28 23:49Very recently a few issues have raged major debates in my mind. I was growing more and more indecisive and that's when I sat down to explore the deeper intricacies of my behaviour. The findings were insightful and interesting and here I share the same with you. 7 Years Back Sankalp StartedSubmitted by rajat on Sun, 2010-05-23 23:18Roughly around 7 years back, at this time of the day - Sankalp India Foundation came into existence. Happy Sankalp Anniversary everyone who has faith in this organisation. May we never cease to persue our goal. You Must Hold OnSubmitted by rajat on Thu, 2010-03-18 19:24There are 2 types of people. The first kind of people take things as they come without much if's and but's. Whether they are okay with it or not, they do what life demands from them. They are the people who may want to do so many things but who may not be able to do much about what they want. And ten there are the other kind. The people who constantly try and find ways to do the things they want to do. These are the people who wont accept what life gives to them unless the giving in line with what they want from life. Our volunteers are the second kind of people.
Compulsive Work DisorderSubmitted by rajat on Mon, 2010-03-08 14:32Today is the day when I share with you yet another of the vibrant collection of peculiarities (which you may simply call defects) that I carry in my packaging. This one I choose to call Compulsive Work Disorder. Missing Vision - No WorriesSubmitted by rajat on Sun, 2010-01-03 16:02Happy New Year Rajat! I told myself.. A moment later - New year? What's that? I know we are going to change the last two digits of the date after a long time. But what more? 2010 Goals? Resolutions? Umm - nothing :) Or I can be a little better to myself by saying - nothing on this day :) It feels like yesterdaySubmitted by rajat on Sun, 2009-12-27 00:14It is 5 years since the giant sea waves hit the Indian coasts. A few minutes back I realized that it is also five years since the time a few engineering students gathered in front of the hostel mess at this hour of night. It was just around this time that on a cold winter night they decided that they will not wait with folded hands to see what will be announced next. |
