Complains about lack of resources has been one of the most common excuse that we give ourselves for not working upon our dreams.  We keep waiting for that ideal situations when everything falls in place in just right manner for us to take our steps forward in the direction of our goals. Instead of waiting for the right blend of resources, opportunity and ideas what we must ask ourselves is how effectively and efficiently are we using what is already available to us.

Sankalp India Foundation won the Spirit of Humanity Award, which is given by Americares, India as a recognition of the exemplary contribution towards the underprivileged by not-for-profit organizations and individuals in the field of healthcare. Sankalp was the winner in the category of 'Thalassemia'.  A trophie, a certificate of appreciation and a prize amount of Rs.1,00,000/- was received by the Sankalp volunteers who attended the ceremony at Mumbai.

'Karnataka State Blood Transfusion Council' and 'Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society' recognized the efforts of Sankalp India Foundation for the second year in a row at the World Blood Donor Day Program organised on 14th June 2013 at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore. Lalith Parmar, the President of the organisation received the award from the Hon Health Minister of Karnataka Sh U T Khader. We thank KSPAS and KSBTC for their support and encouragement.

Gillete, in a recent initiative, located citizens from nook and corners of India, who have done simple but inspiring work. They presented the Blade Of Honour award to citizen soldiers who have contributed to the society with their soldierly values.

Well, thay found Sankalp volunteers worthy of this honour. One of the 10 medals for this year was presented to Sankalp. Rajat Kumar Agarwal, a volunteer, represented Sankalp in the award ceremony. Sankalp thanks Gillette for bestowing us with this honour.

On the second of April as the nation rejoiced the triumph of the Indian cricket team at the biggest stage in cricket, volunteers of Sankalp had another reason to celebrate. Sankalp India Foundation had a few hours earlier won the Spirit of Humanity Awards 2011 for being one of the committed NGOs working in the healthcare sector.
