Making BMT for Thalassemia More Accessible @ Kutch

Thanks to the success of the Sankalp Program For Thalassemia Cure, people from different corners of the country look forward to our group for BMT for thalassemia. With haplo identical transplants also beginning to show some promise, BMT is now being sought by many families. The not for profit costs and the fine results has made even people of Kutch look forward to transplants.

Enabling cure - Sankalp offers more HLA typing

The end of month of September was particularly busy for Team Sankalp as we geared up to offer HLA typing to about 200 families. Thanks to the support of Cure2Children Foundation - Italy and DKMS Germany, Sankalp has pioneered access to free HLA typing in a systematic and impactful way over last few years.

Transforming data in blood collection drives

Sankalp is committed to enabling delivery of better quality in each of the blood donation drives. A critical component in quality assurance is the systematic capturing of the data which could be used to quantify performance. Ever since 2007, when we started our blood donation drive, we evolved several tools which are used to assess the quality of the blood donation camp including feedback for each stakeholder, performance as against targets, noncompliance, complications, deferrals etc.
