More Days in School Than in Hospital: The Joy of Childhood

World Sickle Cell Day reminds us that every follow-up can change a child's future. Over the past year, Sankalp's Management Programme supported 452 children and families, including 274 new enrolments. Among 252 children who remained in regular follow-up, 127 required no blood transfusions, while 95 needed fewer than four transfusions over ten months.

Through continued follow-up and personalised care, Sankalp's Management Programme helped many children require fewer transfusions, giving them more time to learn, play, simply be a child and experience the childhood every child deserves.
