"Once upon a time in a village, there lived a father and his eight sons. They worked in their field from early morning till late evening, very hard and lived happily in prosperity. But the father was very sad about a particular habit of his children, they perpetually quarrelled among themselves always; even for silliest causes.

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

As a common man, what is it that any Individual can do for the Nation?

Submitted by rajat on

Every individual has the ability to bring in Revolutions, but it is just that we do not want to act. A recent comment which was posted on topic What is the most important issue that India faces today? said, everyone is waiting for a Messiah.

So what do you think, that you can do for your Motherland being the common-man you are?

I can do it...

Friends, I would like to share with you a great message given by my teacher from Kalidasa's Shakuntalam 2000 years ago. Look to this day! For it is life, the very life of life. In its brief course, lie all the verities and realities of your existence; the bliss of growth, the glory of action, splendor of achievement, for yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision.

A gentleman once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby. Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the same idol?" "No", said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only one, but, the first one got damaged at the last stage "

Whatever that happens in life, happens for good.....so stop worrying about the future and forget the past.

After Sept. 11th, one company invited the remaining members of other companies who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their available office space. At a morning meeting, the head of security told stories of why these people were alive, and all the stories were just the 'L I T T L E' things .

As you might know, the head of the company survived that day because his son started kindergarten.

Teachings of Baba AMTE

I believe in leading series of Lives in one life. God brings no luck to idle hands. We utilize all sorts of wastes except waste of time. Add life to years rather than adding years to life. God gave us pain so we could feel the tenderness. Action speaks louder than words. Learn the art of living by leaping and not by limping. Love alone can resurrect a man in agony. Work builds, charity destroys. Give them a chance not charity. Happiness dies when it is not shared. The greatest joy comes in life when you invest in others.

Greatest foes

Our greatest foes, and whom we must chiefly combat, are within.

Grow with Problems...

No Problem!

Don’t worry if you have problems! Which is easy to say until you are in the midst of a really big one, I know. But the only people I am aware of who don’t have troubles are gathered in little neighborhoods. Most communities have at least one. We call them cemeteries.

If you’re breathing, you have difficulties. It’s the way of life. And believe it or not, most of your problems may actually be good for you! Let me explain.
