If you answer was run the helpline, take emergency camps, organise drives, run thal centre at IGICH and participate in Disasters then you know what - it's not good! What we have achieved and helped build so far is not for us to be proud of and bask on the glory of. Obviously we will continue to do this.. But the question is where are we headed? Are we playing cards and waiting for a good draw to win? Or are we fixing focus, putting sharp aligned effort and moving swiftly in the direction of our goals?
I ask you this question because where we will land up in 5 years time depends upon where we want to go now and how desperately we want to go there. Today as we stand, we have reasonable ground to self pat and be happy with what is happening. But then you remember right, we will be moving ahead.. We need a day when the problems that we strive for are no longer problems . . Is our current effort aligned in that direction? Are we desperate enough to go in that heading.. Do we sometimes feel helpless enough to think of the next steps?
Think think.. Become desperate people. I know while you read this things might be coming to your mind.. Problems problems problems . . How do we manage time. How do we make things better .. bigger.. we are already too tied up right ? ? I must be honest.. Sometimes .. and often.. I am scared too.. There small cockroaches come my way and try to keep me too preoccupied. But then we have a choice.. If we choose .. with the strength in our arms and in the deep roots of our head and maybe the soul (if it exists).. to be the channels through which great things will happen and great solutions will flow.. they will flow.. they will happen..
If it is not an accident that you are a Sankalp Volunteer.. if it is not a mistake.. then you are someone who is poised to burn and light! We have choices.. Live this month aimlessly.. next month will be easier to live and then the next. . Or we will make our lives hell with the magnitude of the problems that we choose and appoint ourselves to sort out!
Not many people understand how powerful they are.. how much of a difference they can make.. how every drop of blood that is drawn has the potential for a revolution.. I wish you and me .. the Sankalp people .. realise who we are and what we are meant to be.. I hope we make ourselves the prophecy . . The channels through which change will flow.. the harmless, nameless, insignificant no-ones will change the way things for all the no-ones, some-ones and in fact everyone will become better.
Challenge yourself to dream and find out where do we want to go. On Saturday in meeting.. give words to your dreams.. See the people who believe all around you.. Look into their eyes and share the best that your have - the dreams .. and get on the mission to realise them!
No time to waste! Just one life! We are not insignificant ignorables! We mean business!
The block is there in the mind.. The shards on the road.. Keep dreaming.. keep walking!
