ITS 150 YRS TO THE INDIAN FREEDOM STRUGGLE...

Submitted by smruthi aravind on
I posted this not to say about what the Indians have done in the past 150 yrs..1857 first Sepoy mutiny to 2007....90 yrs of slavery and 60 yrs of independence.. But to tell u why we still feel dissatisfied with ourselves and our systems..even after 60 yrs of independence..

I feel guilty when i think of what I've done 2 my nation till now..... "I've got time..i should do something more..something more useful...Think...just think of whats stopping our nation in being the best..think of whats hindering its progress....there is so much for me to work upon..so much...n its not going to b very easy.."..this is what i say to myself...
Be it the poverty...the greatest enemy which is holding our country much stronger than the Britishers who enslaved us...
Be it the corruption...which is unfortunately mainly due to the literate ppl...
Be it the child labor..the son of poverty...
We need none to explain us these problems..Its not going to be easy to defeat them when we look at them as problems..
But just imagine the INDIA which has got none of these evils..to stop her from shining..yes...we can drive them away...

You don't have to be great to start...but start n succeed to feel great about yourself...
Our revolutionaries have given us independence..but now its our job to get more meaning to that independence....

There was a King who wanted to erect a huge temple of God Vishnu in the middle of a lake. He called the best architects and masons to his court to told then to put in all the effort that is required to realise his dream. Work started. The plan was to put a huge foundation in the middle of the lake. But unfortunately, each time the builders tried to place the stones in the right place, they would sink. Prayers were held. Rewards kept. Various people suggested methods of how to place the stones in middle.. Then a Village boy came one day. While looking at the entire construction he started laughing.. The King took notice. he was furious over the Boy laughing at his biggest dream. The Boy was called. While the guards held the boy tight, the King asked why the boy laughed.. The boy smiled back and said.. all this while you have been failing because you have been trying to place the stone in Middle first.. First place a sound foundation in the corners.. Then make your way to the center of the lake.. The King got the point. One more attempt was made. And soon the King saw his dream being realized.. Why I narrated this story is because in your post you have talked about the problems of the country.. Somewhere deep down inside I feel that big things wont change unless small do.. One step at a time. very slowly but firmly we need to realize the dream nation.. It indeed is frustrating to realize what could be done and what has been done. But what you really need to identify, As per my understanding of this matter, is what will you do.. Take up something. Small or big.. Meaningless or meaningful.. Appreciable or not.. Find a way of expression.. Expression of your love for your Motherland. When I was young I used to feel that The way to serve the nation was to be there at the border with Guns.. But now I realize that that is not the only way. rather that is just one of the way.. We will never succeed unless each one of us realizes how in our own work, in our own capacity, by own own hands , daily, all the time, we can serve the nation.. our Motherland.. Start doing it.. When a soldier dies on Border, they wrap his body with the Tiranga.. Live your life such that when you die, the world wants to give you the same farewell..

Live for that one moment in your life when you feel one with this soil, this aim , the trees, the water.. When you feel it your own.. When you feel it all over yourself. When you are one with your motherland.. I do not know if it happens.. But I feel that the Patriots who lived and died for the Motherland must have felt it sometime.
