What has happened: CTC has agreed to collaborate with us in Project Disha. This means that their 24 hour facility at Airport Road which has a call center and a computer-internet facility can be used to provide people with blood availability info on the 1062 platform.
How does this change things: >> This makes the problem of call addressal and resources for us alienated. >> Also CTC is well known so its easier to convince people to share blood info and therefore reliability is high. >> Long term relationship with CTC will enable faster service to the needy.
What do they expect from us They have resources and willingness to do this work but they do not have time. They need people who can actually work to debug this system and put it in place. They are interested inb us because of our energy and dynamism.
What are we required to do? 1> Provide a feasable solution to the dispensing of blood information. - Take care of majority of concerns regarding this issue but this is inly after a comprehensive brainstorm on this issue. - Interact with the best in Blood Donation across the world to find out the best techniques involved in public Infomatics. (one idea could be to poll individual blood banks about their combat techgniques and then choiose the best) - Put things in place - Overcome inertia. Extensive Brainstorming on these issues followed by real hard field work can solve the problem . 2> I Suggest: Make a profile on how each blood bank functions to ensure that their blood is not misused. Make profiles on possible misuse techniques and addressals. Meke profiles on systems being used elsewhere in world. Ill continue to post on this single page.. Pl send your queries as comments.
