A Difficult Day In A Volunteer's Life
On a routine visit to the Thalassemia Day Care Centre at IGICH today I came across a distressing piece of news. The Doctors told me that one of the child who was coming to the day care for a few weeks now has been sent back home from the ICU. The look on the faces of the doctors told me that it was no reason to celebrate. Even as they acknowledged the little help that was offered to take care of the expenses on the medical tests that had to be outsourced, what followed was completely shocking!

21 Sikhs of Saragarhi
Man is capable of achieving so much. A few good men have always been able to do things which are beyond imagination for most. With a firm belief in themselves, men create history. One such rare tale is the battle of Saragarhi when an army of 21 Sikh soldiers, in a lonely communications post, made a gallant stand against an enemy 10,000 strong. Fighting to the last man, they created the lasting legacy of human bravery and valour on the battlefield.
