The Three Musketeers are Back

Three children supported by Sankalp India Foundation have completed their bone marrow transplants successfully They kept us on our toes, made us walk the unknown territory, pushed us to performance levels we had never known before, took us on a roller coaster ride of emotions ranging from happiness, sorrow, fear, hope, and undiluted inner peace.

We are offering free HLA typing

At Sankalp India Foundation, We firmly believe that each child must be given an option for complete cure irrespective of their financial status. The HLA test is the first step which determines whether the sibling can be a matched donor to the child suffering from thalassemia. The cost of HLA typing in India is around Rs.

Real Issues confronting the Bone Marrow Transplants in India

Recently doctors in Chennai have successfully transplanted a child with cancer from his mother's stem cells in the first Haploidentical transplant of the country. This news definitely brings cheers to the numerous families who are suffering from one or the other disorder that can be cured only by transplants. In India, it is extremely difficult to find a donor for a person who needs a transplant because of the very limited number of people who have enrolled so far in bone marrow registries.
