as soon as we get economically stable other hinderances like agrilculture, illetracy, poverty... should get cleared off very easily.

though there are many thing to be involved to be a superpower but economically stability should be the priority..

In my personal opinion, equating economic growth of our nation with it's being developed sounds a very weak idea. The followers of the school of thought that find economic growth the most important factor contributing to a developed nation should ask themselves if there is an overnight change expected soon?

The current order of society is such that it is making the rich people richer and the poor people poorer. " Even as Mukesh Ambani is reported (probably inaccurately) to have become the richest man in the world, the World Hunger Index of IFPRI has ranked India 94th out of 118 countries, just above Ethiopia and worse than any country in the subcontinent save Bangladesh. The contrast between rich and poor is stark." - Picked up from news..

Is development related to the cities of the nation looking like NYC and LA? What is the real development? Do we sitting in the cities enjoying the luxuries of life have an understanding of the problems that are truly plaguing sheer existence of billion people of this land?

Too much of philosophy is dangerous!! But here are some quantified questions:

Q1. The economy is booming and the business is towering to the sky. Then why do farmers in Vidarbha die of poverty?

Q2. It is a decade since the Orissa Super Cyclone. Why so the people still starve on the land?

Q3. UP and Bihar are the most fertile river beds yielding crops that are a farmer's dream. Then why do these states still indicate extremely poor Human Development Index results?

Is development what you see in Japan and America alone? Or is development related to a society which is just free and where equality and liberty get their meaning?

There are countries in the world who are financial superpowers. The one small thing that has almost lost it's meaning there is humanity. To sustain their so called developed state, they kill and murder like the most un-civilised.

Oh Lord I pray to you, never to make my society my country and my people developed in that sense.
