A Possible Match Within the Family: HLA and BMT Guidance

Could a matching donor be within the family? For families considering Bone Marrow Transplant, HLA typing is where the answer begins.

Sankalp, in association with DKMS Germany, conducted HLA camps for 10 families in Dondaicha, 29 in Wardha and 22 in Beed completed HLA typing. At Abu Road, 23 patients were examined; 18 families in Deesa and 14 in Gandhidham received BMT guidance.

By bringing testing and counselling closer, these efforts helped families understand donor matching and their next steps towards cure.
