Huron Visit: A Day of Collaboration and Compassion

On their recent visit to Bengaluru, the Huron leadership team, including Mark Hussey, CEO and President, and John Kelly, CFO, along with senior leaders Costa Magas, Paul Praveen, Gulpreet Kaur, Anand Shanty, and Kokoth, spent a day with us at Sankalp India Foundation to learn more about our work in thalassemia management, prevention, and cure.

The day began at the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital (BMJH), where the team was hosted by our medical experts. They had the opportunity to understand the process of curing thalassemia through bone marrow transplantation and meet the dedicated doctors and staff who make this life-saving treatment possible.

Following this, the team visited the Sankalp Blood Centre, where they witnessed firsthand the critical role that voluntary blood donation plays in saving lives. They explored the systems and processes that ensure safe, high-quality blood reaches children who depend on regular transfusions.

Throughout the visit, the Huron leaders were deeply moved by the passion and dedication of the Sankalp team. Their engagement and encouragement were a source of inspiration for us as we continue to strive towards a thalassemia-free India.
