Care does not always come as medicine. Sometimes, it is a clean room ready when a child arrives.
For over 2 years, Chandra has worked as a housekeeping assistant at Sankalp, caring for the office and Thalassemia Day Care Centre. Everyone at Sankalp has a role in supporting children with thalassemia. Chandra sees this as hers: keeping their surroundings clean and safe whenever they arrive for care.
“Keeping this place clean is how I do my part. I can only promise myself that I will give my very best to the children who need it most.”
Chandra never expected her work to bring such satisfaction. “This is just like my other home,” she says.
At home, no one needs to tell her which corner matters. At Sankalp, she feels the same, because every clean corner is her way of caring for the children.
