WHO CAN DONATE?
Living Donation Some organs and tissues can be donated by living people. A healthy body easily replaces blood, blood platelets, and bone marrow, so they can be donated more than once. A person can donate a single kidney or part of the liver while alive. The remaining kidney can provide some of the function of the donated kidney, and the liver grows back (regenerates) to its original size in a few weeks. It is also possible to donate part of one lung, part of the pancreas, or part of the intestine, although these organs do not regenerate.
DON'T TAKE YOUR ORGANS TO HEAVEN FOR GOD KNOWS THEY ARE NEEDED HERE" There are few acts in life that are more noble than donating our organs. Donating our organs after we are gone from this world is the closest that we can come to giving life to another individual. Organ donation is a wonderful legacy we can leave behind. The eyes continue to see the wonders of the world and the heart continues to sing a new song. The organs that a single person donates can give a new lease of life to as many as five individuals.
