Blood Donation Drive @ Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research
A blood donation drive will be organised by Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in association with Sankalp India Foundation on 30th October, 2009 at it's Jakkur campus.
Chhath puja: Thanking the Sun God
Chhath (also called Dala Chhath) is an ancient Hindu festival dedicated to Surya, the chief solar deity, unique to Bihar, Jharkhand and the Terai. Chhath is considered a means to thank the Sun for bestowing the bounties of life on earth as also for fulfilling particular wishes. This major festival is also celebrated in the northeast region of India, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and parts of Chhattisgarh. Hymns praying to the sun can be found in the Vedas, the oldest sacred texts of Hinduism.
Blood Donation Drive in Girls Government college, Kolar
Sankalp is organising first blood donation drive in Kolar on 28th October. TeamRed training for the Volunteers from the college will start from 24th October. RL Jalappa Hospital Blood bank is the blood bank coming during the drive.
Blood Donation Drive @ HSBC
HSBC Bank will conduct a blood donation drive in association with Sankalp India Foundation in their Bannerghatta Road branch on the 6th and 7th of November 2009. With a large employee base, it is expected that there will be a good number of donors coming forward to donate blood. This event would kickstart Sankalp's blood donation drive in companies after a brief 2 month lull owing to better stocks in bangalore city
Holi - Festival of Colors

Holi, also called the Festival of Colors, is a popular Hindu spring festival observed in India.
Holi was originally a spring festival of fertility and harvest. Now it also marks some Hindu legends, which provide some of the ingredients for the celebrations.
