Bangalore was happy to host the second annual conference of Indian Society for Transfusion Medicine from September 13-15 2013. The conference brought together the experts in the field of transfusion medicine from across the nation. It was a great opportunity to learn and share. The conference was packed with engaging scientific talks, paper presentations and debates. The program was very well received by the participants and ended up as a grand success.

Bombaybloodgroup.org has been bustling with activity in the last few months. It is the platform for the vibrant Bombay blood group community of our nation. Through rational use of blood, technology, networking and most importantly, timely and judicious blood donations, the community has been actively managing the numerous blood requests which it is getting from all over the globe.

Our Experience With Bombay Blood Group - Talk at ISBTI Karnataka Annual CME

ISBTI Karnataka organised the annual CME at VIMS Bellary on 23-34 February 2013. Sankalp India Foundation was invited to give a talk on "Our Experience With Bombay Blood Group". The CME coincided with the first ever international transfer of Bombay Blood Group organised by the organisation. The CME gave the organisation an opportunity to share with the blood banking community of Karnataka, the work done, the essential learning and the roadmap to take care of Bombay Blood Group need in specific and rare blood groups in general.

BHOPAL: In a first of its kind case in India, a tribal woman in Madhya Pradesh has been found to have the rare blood group, Para-Bombay B.

She is the fourth person in the country to have the rare blood group of Para-Bombay and first in India identified to have the blood group, Para-Bombay B, doctors in Madhya Pradesh government-run Jay Arogya Hospital (JAH) in Gwalior disclosed to this newspaper on Wednesday.
