Cure For Corruption
Thalassemia Kid - Moinam Pal
Thalassemia patients often undergo a painful process of blood transfusion followed by chelation and other medications very regularly. If certain factors are in place, Thalassemia can be cured. Usually cord blood transplant or bone marrow transplant is used. For the first time in our country, a mixed therapy was used successfully to save a young life. Here is the article (reference Times of India) Five year old Moinam Pal, an e-beta Thalassemia patient, walked into medical history as first India patient to be cured by mixed stem cell therapy.

Punishment for Corruption
There is a lot of discussion going around the country about the extent to which the people involved in corruption should be penalised. I am shocked at the level of acceptance people have for corruption. I am shocked by the extent to which they believe that corruption is that just another thing happening around.
Blowing the Storms Away
News can at times tear your head apart. I got news - some news. And it did a wonderful harmonal/enzymatic/neural reaction in my body. I have not been able to sleep well. The news hounds me all the time. I am hearing about it at the back of my head. I am feeling my fingers experience what must have happened when hat news was being made. I don't know whether to be angry or to feel sorry or to pray. I am helpless. Just that the news has come to me and I am only trying to come to terms with it.
Me and my garden
I once maintained a garden. When I started with it, I knew nothing about the flowers, the plants and the trees. All i knew is that it is me who should be maintaining that garden. I used to spend some time each day taking care of my garden. The smallest of things were looked into. Whetever was not just right was treated immediately. I learnt then. I learnt a lot. I got to know a lot about plants and how to keep them. My garden was always green and fresh. It was blooming and bright. My sweat and my blood was nurturning it.
