Adding impetus to our plans for an extension throughout the state of Karnataka is a donor registration programme being designed by the Emergency Wing volunteers of Sankalp.
Sankalp is organizing a training on advance topics in blood transfusion medicine for all the volunteers. Dr Sundar from NIMHANS Blood Bank has very kindly agreed to help the volunteers understand the science behind blood donation in a better way.
Sankalp India Foundation conducts regular blood donation drives within the MSR group of institutions. Periodic drives with a collection of 30-40 units enhance the stock positions of Ramiah blood Bank, that is a major hospital and caters to most of North Bangalore requirements. In this regard, a blood donation drive will be held @ MSRIT on 27th April 2010
Sankalp India Foundation, NIMHANS and ISBTI (Indian Society For Blood Transfusion and Immuno Hematology), Karnataka will organise a 2 day workshop on blood components for blood bank officers and technicians from all across the state of Karnataka. The workshop will focus on the need for effective usage of blood components and will include talks by leading transfusion specialists of the country. Live sessions will further enhance the importance of the workshop for technicians who are involved in component separation, apheresis donations etc.
It has been 7 years since the spirit of Sankalp was born, and like every year we would love to share the joy with our dearest friends and well wishers.
Inviting you all for the 7th Anniversary celebrations of Sankalp India Foundation. It will be held on 22 May 2010 @ MS Ramiah Institute Of Technology. Block your dates now and be there!
When we say something is born or created , it means that there was a point in time when that thing was born/created. We have been seeing as a natural consequence, what is born has to die. Death or destruction is a natural consequence of whatever that was born or created. This also marks that in both death and birth happens at some time. Time is involved in both consequences.
I always wondered, what is it that makes me feel that learning at college is a burden these days, and learning in Sankalp is something I do out of pleasure/ curiosity/ enthusiasm? Basically I like to learn stuff, also I am a little lazy and want to learn it the not-so-tough-way as much as possible. ;) But somehow, my thirst to learn at college has died down in the past one year. Yet I feel the same enthusiasm I did to learn anything new here at Sankalp.
