Broken Glass

He bid goodbye with tearful eyes
And I bid goodbye to him
Circumstances were too overpowering
For us, mortals to reign

I learn't to live without him
Walking on my road
But telling myself once in a while
The person was my own

I blamed the universe for the situation
I hoped a day would arrive
When we would meet again someday
The bonding would reignite.

Dudhwa National Park

Dudhwa Tiger Reserve lies on the India-Nepal border in the foothills of the Himalaya and the plains of the ‘terai’ in Uttar Pradesh. From mosaic grasslands and dense sal forests to swampy marshes, the terrain of Dudhwa National Park is as diverse as the wildlife population it harbors.

True Hero

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever the cost.

Small things making life bright and beautiful

I was, I can say, somewhat frustrated. I locked my PC and entered a meeting room. I wanted to draw a plan. A new plan. A better plan. I wanted to do something creative. I was very restless. There was a marker on the table. I casualty picked it up and soon found myself writing whatever was coming to my mind on the whiteboard in front of me. Words, words and more words flowed out in abundance. I was scribbling stuff and wondering how many things do I carry in my circuit up there.

All izz not well

It is preposterous to see the long queues outside schools. These fine men and women are here for their kids admission into pre-primary sections. This school will demand lakhs of donation, and these parents will readily pay it! Some schools even demand minimum qualification of parents for admitting their wards. On what basis are they authorized to do so? If parent’s qualification affects a child’s education, then what are these schools here for? And bade bhaiyyas never stops them. Hope our dear HRD minister has this issue as an action item in his tasklist.

Every year, during this time, when the union budget is announced, there is a lot halla over it. Is the budget good? Will it help the common man? Will it be good for the industries, and the IT sector? Many economists believe that the best way to evaluate the budget is understanding behavior of the stock market.

Resource, softwares and poems

I’ve always tried to write about my work in Sankalp and have failed numerous times. A recent lecture by my teacher gave me new directions and finally drove me into writing about resource management. I’ll write about three aspects of my life that fascinate me the most- Sankalp, Software Development and Poetry. A deep analysis of these made me realize that all these three are no different. They are one and the same.

Deploy IT and eliminate middlemen!

Submitted by souravroy on

In a recent lecture, my teacher rightly said- “The job of Information Technology is to eliminate the middle-man and if implemented in governance, we will have tremendous growth!” Let me elaborate. IT eliminates the middleman by supporting a process and hence automating it. May it be ATMs or eBay, or the Wikipedia- IT serves as a link between the user and the resources.
