5th Blood Donation Drive @ ITPB
The big one is on again. ITPB, Sankalp's favorite blood hunting ground is gearing up once again to host it's 5th blood donation drive. It is planned in early February this year. With about 2000 donations in the last 4 drives put together, ITPB this time too looks upbeat to make a mark specially with the summer shortage on the horizon.
Sankalp is this time too involved in all setup and procedural operations in full swing and hopes to make the event a wonderful one.
Gulmarg: The highest golf course in trhe world, here in Kashmir
Gulmarg's legendary beauty, prime location and proximity to Srinagar naturally make it one of the premier hill resorts in the country. Originally called ‘Gaurimarg’ by shepherds, its present name was given in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, who was inspired by the sight of its grassy slopes emblazoned with wild flowers. Gulmarg was a favourite haunt of Emperor Jehangir who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from here. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty- it also has the highest green golf course in the world, at an altitude of 2,650 m, and is the country's premier ski resort in the winter.
Blood Donation Drive @ Trianz
Trianz, who in the past have had blood donation drives in associaton with Sankalp, continue the blood bond by coming forward to organise another drive in the 3rd week of January. The date has been finalised for the 21st of January. With an employee strength of close to 300, a total of 50 donations should be expected from here. Such small contributions make a telling effect as we head into the shortage period in the coming summer months.
Silently the magic unfolds and we behold gaping wide

Taj Mahal: A wonder!
Taj Mahal, the pinnacle of Mughal architecture, was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658), grandson of Akbar the great, in the memory of his queen Arjumand Bano Begum, entitled ‘Mumtaz Mahal’.The mausoleum is located on the right bank of the river Yamuna at a point where it takes a sharp turn and flows eastwards. Originally, the land where the Taj Mahal presently stands belonged to the Kachhwahas of Ajmer (Rajasthan). The land was acquired from them in lieu of four havelis as is testified by a court historian, Abdul Hamid Lahauri, in his work titled the Badshah-Namah and the firmans (royal decrees). For construction, a network of wells was laid along the river line to support the huge mausoleum buildings.

Thank God I am human!
No inspirational talk this time; no narration of any touching story....just felt like thanking the Maker through this note. Last night in my goodnight chat with Him...I thanked him Him for making me a ‘Human being’. Yes, I feel lucky in this front, I am a human and hence can EXPRESS my love, my feelings, my emotions and fire in me in a more profound manner than any other living being on earth.
