"While the whole world was busy celebrating Christmas, there was a small group of poeple standing at a prominent crossroad in Bangalore with placards reminding people of the anniversary of the Tsunami on the evening of 25th December 2010. Sankalp India Foundation organised the event - ' Remembering the Tsunami' to amrk the 6th anniversary of the worst disaster of our times and at the same time reinforce the pledge to act to provide relief to the disaster victims as soon as possible after the disasters."

BANGALORE: Sankalp India Foundation, a city-based NGO working for disaster relief, is coming up with a programme where organisations and corporate entities wishing to work towards the effect would be tying up with the NGO. Disaster Relief Partner Program would be officially launched on January 26, said Rajat Kumar Agarwal, president of Sankalp India Foundation.

The Tense Moments after the Ayodhya Verdict
30 September, 2010: While the entire nation was waiting to hear the Ayodhya verdict and the atmosphere was that of tension and apprehension, the Sankalp volunteers received an SMS announcing CodeRed*. Within next few minutes the organisation was on it's toes.
Goal
In case some major problem happened in Bangalore, participate in whatever capacity to help ease the situation.

Currently, according to the Annual plan of Sankalp, most of our working wings tend to relax and come out of the execution semester and gear up for the planning semester. But, this year, the situation is such that, execution is still on the highest priority leaving less time for planning.
