No tears for these martyrs
CHAURI CHAURA: Railway stations are class-conscious creatures. The big ones parade their wares like models flaunt their bodies: swank escalators, branded food courts and neat waiting rooms. The small ones, sadly, are condemned to wallow in anonymity.
Chauri Chaura belongs to the second category. Trains, with the exception of the odd local passenger, seldom stop here. But an event that happened 85 years ago, barely 100 yards from this unremarkable railway station, ensured that the small kasbah in eastern Uttar Pradesh lost its obscurity forever and found a place in history textbooks.

ME AND MY NATION-INDIA
As a young citizen of India,

Why donate eyes?
- To begin with, may be ,for a selfish reason; our eyes can live even after our death.
- Secondly, more importantly, we can light the life of two blind people by donating our eyes after our death.
- Thirdly, not to mention, eye donation is one of the noblest of all causes.
Over 90 percent of all cornea transplant operations performed each year successfully restores vision to people suffering from corneal blindness. Donated human eyes and corneal tissue are also used for research and education.
Third Visit to School...
On 23rd June one of the volunteer received a call from school administrator regarding the need of COPIES for the children for new session. After talking with school administrator in person, We got to know the requirement of 700 COPIES for children. One of the Sankalp volunteer share this with his friends and other sankalp volunteer. People came forward with full heart and contribute for the children. Many of them came forward to visit school on 30th June 2007. |
