Sankalp-Cure2Children Network meeting for BMT was organised on 28-29 May 2018 at People Tree Hospitals, Bangalore. The two day meeting held every six months is an opportunity for our transplant teams to get together and brainstorm - contributing to the fine outcomes.
ThalMeet 2018, the meeting of thalassemia centre who aim at harmonising Thalassemia Care and strengthen last mile delivery was organised on 21 and 22 May 2018 in Bangalore.
Sankalp India Foundation had organized a Blood Bank Meet at NIMHANS on 17th November, 2017. The meet aimed at improving the quality of voluntary blood donation drives within the city of Bangalore by fostering education and the exchange of ideas among professionals in this field.
Sankalp is in collaboration with Dr Prabhakar Kore KLE Hospital and Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum to help strengthen the the delivery of care to the thalassemia patients. Jai Shiv Shakti Thalassemia Day Care Centre has provided immense relief to the patients.
In December 2017, 3 camps were organised in Indore, Bhopal and Gwalior by Government of Madhya Pradesh together with Team Sankalp. As per the memorandum of understanding signed between Sankalp India Foundation and MY Hospital, Government of Madhya Pradesh and Sankalp, we organised HLA typing.
On 3rd December 2017, Department of Pediatrics, Rural Development Trust, Ananthpur organised the 1st CME on Thalassemia. Attended by pediatricians from Ananthpur and nearby districts, the event was very well received and productive.
On 9-10th January 2018, we at Sankalp were honoured and excited to host a delegation from DKMS Germany including Dr Thomas Klingebiel, a very well known person in the pediatric BMT and hemato-oncology community.

Sankalp India Foundation and Maharaja Yeshwant Rao Hospital, Indore, a unit of the state government of Madhya Pradesh joined hands to start bone-marrow transplantation centre to cure the children suffering from thalassemia and sickle cell disease.
